Calling all Photograhers
Patricia April 7th, 2008
Ok, here’s the deal — one of our group called this morning and said, “I want to do the Photo Safari in Juneau, but I’m wondering about the times through Shore Trips.” I offered to call and find out so here’s the deal — if we have 6 people, we can pick whatever time we want to go (I suggest 10am, but that’s me). We have TWO right now.
Cost is $174.00 and learn more about the tour here: http://www.shoretrips.com/common/search4.asp?rcode=PNW&lcode=JUN&tcode=023105
Ok, but DON’T book it online. Call me or e-mail me — this way we get the right group pulled together. I would need a head count by Friday.

I have the same sort of question about any of the whale watching excursions - what time is safe to book, since we don’t know what time we’ll be allowed to disembark?
“Safe Times”??? Wow, if we hadn’t run into trouble that one time in Victoria, I would have told you that the times from the cruise lines are about as good as it gets. Here’s what I know, that is the only time I’ve ever been delayed in my whole cruising life. That said, I would shoot for any shore excursion that leaves about 30 minutes after we are to pull into port and returns no later than 30 minutes before we are to leave again. For Example, in Juneau your window is really 9:30am to 7:30pm.
Also, with Shore Trips, your confirmation will give you a phone number of the tour guide, if you are stuck on the ship — call and they will help you too. Mostly likely they are just going to wait for you.
