For example, if you drink soda, the credit could pay for your sodas or a soda card (purchasable on the first day of the cruise). If you want a spa treatment, it could pay for that. If you choose to book a Celebrity shore excursion onboard, it can go to pay for that. If you want a latte .... It could even offset your tips onboard. Remember the ship is a cashless system (except the casino) and thus you will charge everything onto your roomcard which ties to a credit card. Hope that helps.
