Deborah:
For question 1- The ship ties up just outside of the tourist area of Victoria. You can easily walk from the cruise ship pier into Victoria, it's about a 10
minute walk through a quiet residential area. There will probably be quite a few taxis available at the pier as well.

 For question 2- Call us!

For question 3- It's a solid maybe. If you come to the dining room in jeans or shorts and t-shirts on the formal nights you will probably be turned away at the door.
However, if you both come down in slacks and button down shirts (no sneakers) it probably won't be a problem.

We expect that we'll know the details on the materials list in time to include it with your final packet of cruise documents. Those documents will probably be
in our hands in the next few weeks and making their way to you very soon afterwards.

As for a recommended list of things to pack - we expect to do a Seasocks specific podcast either the first or second week of April and we'll talk about
our suggestions for items to pack.

Dear Patricia:

Three questions:

1. My husband and I want to go into Victoria, but not to join the excursion.
How do we get from the ship into port, and back again? Cost?

2. We want to get trip insurance - I noted that on the packet - but I'm not
 sure it happened. Please advise.

3. We are not interested in dressing up. Will we still be welcome at dinner in
the main dining room with the rest of the group (we're traveling with four
 cabins-worth of relatives)?

Thanks. We're looking forward to a wonderful trip. As first-time cruisers, we'll
appreciate any tips you post on your blog regarding packing, etc.

WOW! With that many knitters, maybe I can convince my mom to learn how. Are you going to post a list of suggested items to pack (besides the requisite knitting stuff)? It might be helpful for first time cruisers and a good refresher for the rest of us. Thanks Patricia!
